What's that floating in the water?

[Princess Sarah]

It was late at night in the academy and it was dead silent...Until a splash outside of the academy was heard. Crying and screams repeated constantly, until someone went out to check...A cold air filled the place and something was floating in the water.

[Butterfly]

Sora awoke with a start. She thought she had heard something outside, and got up to go check. She pulled on a sweater over her pj's and silently walked outside, Nikki and Lecty padding along beside her.

She looked sleepily out at the lake, and noticed something bobbing around in the water. "What's that?" she wondered, walking up to the lake.


Skyler could barely hear the splash and scream over the sound of her music. Her insomnia had kept her up that night, so she was listening to her headphones for the sake of something to do.

She glanced up at the sound, looking out the window to see what it was. She saw a small figure standing by the lake, with two Pokemon standing warily beside her.

Sky's brows furrowed and she pushed up off her bed, stepping out of her room and outside cautiously.

[Princess Sarah]

A thick fog surrounded the area. As she inspected the object in the lake, she noticed it looked like something facing down. The creature started sinking slowly, before disappearing into the lake. A distorted chuckle could be heard in the fog.

[Butterfly]

Sora shivered at the sound, hugging herself and rubbing her arms to try and warm herself. "H-hello?" she called in a shaky voice, her eye wide and terrified. What was in the water? Why did it sink? she wondered, scared out of her mind.

[Princess Sarah]

The water turned a dark murky green and the figure reappeared. Slowly it raised from the water until it was levitating above the water. It opened it's eyes and gave Sora a big evil grin.

[Butterfly]

"AH!" Sora screamed, jumping back as the creature rose from the water. Nikki leaped forward, hissing as her fur poofed up to twice its normal size. Lecty pounced forward with Nikki, growling.

(I'm taking Skyler out of this thread.

Also, just to be sure, it's a ghastly right?)

[Princess Sarah]

(That's fine and yes it's a Gastly ^o^)

The ghost flew towards Nikki at a high speed, and stopped right in Nikki's face before attempting to give her a big gross sticky lick. (Yep, that's one of his starting moves xD)

[Butterfly]

(soz, I was being stupid yesterday >.<)

Nikki jumped backwards, bumping into Sora's ankles, causing the little girl to fall.

"Nikki!" she gasped as she hit the ground, rushing to sit up, "Nikki use Sand Attack! Lecty, use Bite!" Sora's mind reeled as she spoke, trying to remember what she'd learned about ghost types. She knew poison types were weaker against ground type moves, and ghost was weak against dark moves.

A storm of sand particles began to form around the Eevee, and the Shinx leaped forward towards the ghost.

[Princess Sarah]

(Nah, you were not stupid xD. I made that mistake about four times making this.)

Gastly having the ability to levitate, was immune to ground-type moves, which sadly meant that Nikki's sand attack did not harm the wild Gastly. However, the Gastly was not as lucky with Lecty as the Shinx managed to sink it's fangs into the Gastly, causing it to let out a cry in pain.

After shaking Lecty off of it, it flew very close to Lecty and a watch materialized and began to swing back and forth.

(Gastly used hypnosis which makes your pokemon fall asleep if he falls for it xD)

[Butterfly]

(XD nuuuuuuu! my pokemon!!
wooops....I forgot he could levitate...dammit all!)

"Lecty! Use Bite again!" Sora ordered, quickly jumping to her feet. She could tell Nikki was out of it. The little Eevee was watching the watch swing back and forth with interest. Her eyes began to droop, and a yawn cracked open her mouth.

Lecty leaped forward once again after recovering from the fall. She attempted to sink her teeth into the ghost pokemon.

[Princess Sarah]

The Gastly let out a somewhat hilarious cry in pain. and flew around with Lecty stuck on it for a few minutes. Finally getting Lecty off of it (Again xD) it growled at Lecty, not wanting him (her?) to get away with making four deep teeth marks in it's forehead. It formed a small alluring hand made of smoke, motioning for Lecty to come close, and if successful, giving him a big lick.

[Butterfly]

(Both Lecty and Nikki are girls)

"Lecty, don't fall for it!" Sora ordered, a frown tugging on her lips. The Shinx began to stalk forward towards the Gastly, but, with a shake of her head, snapped out of it. She leaped to the left to dodge the Gastly's lick just in time, arching her back an baring her teeth angrily.

[Princess Sarah]

The Gastly growled at Sora with a mean look, before tilting it's head a slightly (Which is basically it's entire body). It flew a little closer to Sora, this time with a more curious look, than a mean one. It's gas formed into the shape of a hand, and it listened to Sora's music player, bouncing back and forth in rhythm with the tune.

[Butterfly]

(Sora doesn't have a music player, that's Skyler you're thinking of)

Sora gasped, backing away in shock as the Gastly approached. Lecty hisses back at the Gastly, her teeth bared angrily.

[Princess Sarah]

(Darn my stupidity xD)

The Gastly jumped a bit backwards when Lecty hissed at it. The then stuck it's tongue out at Lecty, taunting her.

(Super short post and I am derpy today! xD)

[Butterfly]

Lecty hisses again, swatting a paw at the Gastly. Sora stood firmly on the ground, her heart racing from fear.

"L-Lecty...." she muttered, taking out a pokeball. She activated the little red and white ball, pointing it at Nikki's sleeping form. The Pokemon zapped back inside. Lecty sat down on her rump and began to lick her paw.

"H-hello?" Sora asked quietly, wondering if the Gastly could understand her.

[Princess Sarah]

The Gastly stared at Sora for a good few seconds before nodding. It flopped onto the ground curious what this mortal would try to say.

[Butterfly]

"A-are you...a G-gastly?" she asked, her body nearly shaking from fear. Lecty sat next to Sora, cleaning herself calmly.

[Princess Sarah]

The Gastly nodded and laughed evilly. It looked at Lecty with slight annoyance from being ignored so easily.

"Wh-what're y-you doing here?" Sora prompted nervously, hiding her face in her hair. She stood on her tippy toes, ready to flee if the need called for it. To someone watching, she probably looked like a bird ready to fly.

Lecty cast the Gastly warning glances, threatening to attack again if the ghost-type harmed her master.

[Princess Sarah]

The Gastly gets a very sinister look in it's eyes. It forms hands with it's cloudy aurora and does a motion which hints towards ending someone's life.

(Very dark, I know)

[Butterfly]

Sora gasped, taking a couple steps back. Lecty leaped up, fur standing on end and teeth bared, hissing.

"Help!!!" Sora screeched, turning to run.

[Princess Sarah]

The grinned in a hilariously evil way, and charged Lecty. attempting to ram into her and thus causing some decent harm.

[Butterfly]

Lecty yowled in pain as she was hit, falling backwards onto the grass. Sora cried out her name, a lump forming in her throat causing her to sob.

"L-Lecty!" her voice caught. The Shinx stood quickly, shaking her fur out.

"Shinx!" she snarled, leaping at the Gastly, aiming to bite its forehead.

[Princess Sarah]

The Gastly laughed at her pain, enjoying what it did. Then it's eyes grew wide when Lecty jumped at it again and latched on to it's cheek, pulling it down to the ground and causing it to flail (or as much as it can, being a ball surrounded by gas and all) trying desperately to force Lecty off, but failing to do so.
