"No that's fine, I'd rather be hated for my eyes than accepted for hiding them." Sora said suddenly and sternly, pushing the offered glasses away with a frown covering her face.

She wasn't sure why the boy was still holding her, they'd just met after all. Yet Sora could decide if it was a good thing or not, and found herself enjoying the touch. As a kid, she was never treated as someone's child, only as an orphaned, scary girl. So she didn't even know what it felt like to be held until now, after all, the only outer interaction she had was with her Pokemon.

Sora blushed lightly at the compliment, "That's what my mom used to say.." she said in reply, but then remembered, she didn't have a mom. "Well, I like to think that's what she would have said. Though in all honesty, she probably wouldn't have even if she had kept me.." Sora added solemnly after realizing her mistake.

"At least you knew your parents..." Sora retorted, angry at first but her voice grew distant as she thought of the orphanage.

"I'm sorry...." Sora said quietly, looking down sadly, as if she was a puppy being scolded. "I didn't mean anything by it..."

At this point, Sora was a little uncomfortable, so she re positioned herself so that her back was to him and her legs were laid in front of her. Cautiously, she leaned back against his chest.

Sora nodded, "It's alright." she said quietly, looking up at the sun. "People tend to say things they don't mean....." she added softly, looking down at the ground. She still wasn't quite sure why the boy was still holding her, her innocence preventing her from understanding anything that was happening.

Sora blushed, shrugging her shoulders up as if she could hide her face with them.

"When you've been alone your whole life you tend to pick these things up..." she explained quietly with a soft giggle.

"Well I didn't exactly decide to be alone...." Sora added, her voice almost inaudible it was so quiet. Nikki trotted up to her, eyes wide and sorrowful.

"It's okay Nikki..." Sora told the Eevee sweetly, stroking the Pokemon's head.

"It's alright.." Sora accepted his apology, shivering a bit. "but won't you get cold?" she asked, her red eyes widening with question. She drew her knees into her chest, folding her arms around herself and bracing for the wind.

Sora nodded, gratefully taking the sweater and pulling it around herself. It was nice and warm, and smelling of something sweet, though Sora couldn't figure out what. "Thanks." she said, clutching the sides of the sweater, as if it would disappear.

"Why?" Sora asked, turning around immediately. "Oh." she said upon seeing the scars, "Why does it matter? We both have scars, yours are just on the outside." she stated curiously.

"No, I have similar ones, you just can't see them." Sora said with a nervous giggle, "I don't see what all the fuss is about." she said, still facing him while holding the warm sweater around her. The wind shook the trees, and Sora's pokemon looked up at her in worry. They knew she was prone to illnesses that came with the cold. She ignored them

"oh um.." Sora said nervously, realizing she shouldn't mentioned it, "I just have, you know...mental scars....it's the same thing you just can't see it, really...." her voice caught in her throat, forcing her to trail off.

"Yeah, I'm fine thanks." Sora said in reply, shooing away her Pokemon. She sat facing Nexon, looking at his scars subconsciously. She was grateful to him for dropping the subject, "Why did you come up here anyways?" she asked curiously.

"Endurance training?" she said curiously, as if testing the words out."What's that?"

"Oh, that's cool." Sora said with a small smile, shrugging her shoulders. "I don't think I need to do that for Nikki or Lecty..." she added hopefully, looking at her pokemon with interest. Lecty tilted her blue head, trotting up to them.

She looked at Nex with a frown on her face, "Shinx! Shinx!" she hissed, baring her teeth.

"Lecty! stop that!" Sora ordered in a quiet voice, "That's not nice"!

Lecty hissed again, but closed her mouth.

"She's just jealous is all." Sora explained, giggling a bit. "Lecty it's alright, you're still my favorite!" she laughed, scratching the Shinx's ear.

Lecty purred, leaning into Sora's hand. "Sorry about that." Sora said to Nexon, "She's just....Lecty." as if that was an explanation. Lecty went back to Nikki

"Lecty would never hurt me, why would Zeena burn you? That's not nice." Sora asked curiously, looking over at the Vulpix, "if she's jealous shouldn't she be more mad at me than you?" she added with a giggle.

Sora froze, heat rushing to her cheeks, "What was that?" she asked softly, turning her head slightly downwards to hide the blush. "What did you say?" she asked, looking up at Nex out of the corner of her eye, "A girl you....like?" with that, her cheeks grew even redder, "....but..."she said, unsure of what to say

Sora smiled an embarrassed smile, "but...you just met me, like....I dunno...how long have we been up here? An hour? That sounds about right...." Sora began to mumble to herself, but brought herself to speak louder again "You've only just met me.....why?" she asked curiously, sitting on her knees and leaning in close.

"Beautiful?" Sora repeated the words as if testing them out for try, "No one's ever called me that before..." her cheeks were still a bright red, and she drew her knees in to hide it.

Sora locked her hands underneath her knees, keeping them drawn up to her face as a deeper blush spread across her cheeks. She shrugged her shoulders up, hiding her face deeper among her knees. Only her eyes showed, looking up at Nexon with a mix of emotions. Scared, embarrassed, confusion and unsureness.

Sora giggled with uncontrollable laughter as Nexon tickled her, falling over and clutching her sides.

"S-stop!" she managed to say through giggles, "that tickles! stop!!" she couldn't stop laughing, and attempted to kick Nexon away with as much force as a 60 pound 12 year old could muster.

"Nex....what do you mean by you like me? How? How is it that you like me?" she asked, hoping he would understand what it was she was asking

"Oh" Sora said holding her arm at the elbow and blushing, "Really? You, you 'like' me?" she asked, just to be sure. It felt so strange for someone to have a crush on her, it felt so strange to talk to someone for so long. Sora didn't know how to react, but her cheeks were redder than her eyes.

"But...I'm so much younger than you..." she trailed off, trying to find a reason for him not to like her. It wasn't that she didn't like him back, for she did (as much as she'd deny it), it was that she felt she didn't deserve someone to like her.
