Sora hugged Nexon back, an unsure expression on her face. "But..but.." she struggled for something to say, but was unable to find anything. She turned herself around in Nex's arms so that she was facing him, and gave him a nervous smile.

Sora looked away when Nexon didn't say anything, holding herself from freezing. What's happening? she thought to herself I don't understand

The sun was starting to drop low in the sky, and Sora shivered despite the sweater.

"It's getting colder, you sure you don't want you sweater back?" she asked cautiously, glancing at Nikki and Lecty, both of which were watching her with concern. They would be fine due to their furry bodies, but Sora was small and rather weak for her age, and caught colds easily

Sora blushed when he pulled her closer, ducking her head down so he couldn't see. "But you shivered too, you must be cold." she decided, pulling off the sweater as best she could with his arms around her.

"You can keep me warm but I can't keep you warm..."she said softly, giving him the sweater.

Sora giggled at the interaction between the Vulpix, shrugging herself back into the sweater.

"Alright but don't freeze okay?" she said to Nex, cautiously leaning her head against his chest.

Sora froze for a moment, a her mouth forming a small 'o' and her eyes wide. After a brief moment of hesitation, she answered,

"Yes." she said quietly, blushing a bright red and looking slightly away.

Sora's eyes were open for the first second of the kiss, an extremely shocked expression on her face as her lips refused to move.

But then she closed her eyes and her mouth relaxed enough to let her enjoy the kiss. It was her first, which made it even more special, not even considering the scenery and perfection of the scene.

Sora's heart beat loud in her ears, thumping against her chest like a drum, she hoped he couldn't hear it. Would this moment ever end? Sora wished against it. it felt as if time was slowing down for them, yet at the same time, that it was flying straight past them like a soaring bird.

"It's alright." Sora giggled, blushing a bright red, "I, I don't mind....." she looked up at him with her strange eyes, drawing in a deep breath and giving him a tentative smile. Her heart continued to beat against her chest rapidly.

She crossed her legs, resting her hands in her lap and looking away nervously. Her long blue hair fell into her face, but she didn't try to brush it away. Did I just?

Sora blushed again, turning her head slightly away, giggling. "I'm not used to this sort of thing..." she said softly, looking at Nexon, "Are you really not scared of my eyes?" she asked suddenly, concern striking her face.

Sora blushed even redder, "Okay...." was all she could say, looking into Nexon's green and blue eyes. "Your eyes are pretty cool too ya know, I've never met someone with one green eye and one blue eye."

"Thanks." Sora said with a giggle, smiling her beautiful smile, white teeth sparkling in the setting sun's light. "I believe the scientific term is heterochromia iridium." she added, closing her eyes as well and leaning into his touch.

Sora was ready this time, no shocked expression or frozen state, just sheer bliss and the feel of Nexon's lips pressed against hers. Her eyes were closed and her lips slightly parted. Her arms moved without her telling them to, and they wrapped around Nexon's back. She gripped his shirt subconsciously, too lost to notice what she was doing.

Realizing what had happened, she dropped her arms and held them close to herself, pulling away from the kiss.

"S-sorry..." she managed to say, her cheeks reddening again.

Sora accepted Nexon's kiss, still red in the cheeks. Her eyes closed once again, and she was drawn into Nex, her lips fitting with his like two puzzle pieces. She pulled away slightly, just enough to catch her breath, their lips still just barely touching. But then she kissed him again, her arms moving of their own accord (again) and holding onto his back as if he would disappear.

Sora froze for a moment, but blinked to re-animate herself.

"I-I guess so.." she giggled nervously, "I've never had a boyfriend before...." she thought aloud, not meaning to actually say it. Sora shivered, the cold breeze that came with the sunset taking hold of her. Her teeth chattered and she rubbed her arms trying to warm them up, despite the sweater around her body.

"It's p-pretty." she said through her chattering teeth, looking out at the orange-blue horizon.

Sora nodded even though she would've liked to stay a bit longer, "Okay..." she said quietly, gesturing for Nikki and Lecty to follow, and they did. Sora clung to Nexon, who was considerably taller than her, so she wouldn't fall down. She could feel her legs starting to go numb, so she was a little wobbly on her feet.

"I guess, if sh-she w-wouldn't mind..." Sora mumbled, glancing up at the night sky. The stars twinkled, little sparkling dots enduring the black. Beautiful Sora thought to herself as they descended

Sora giggled at Nexon's cheesy smile, causing her to almost trip over a small pebble. She clung to Nex's shirt, trying to pull herself up, but ended up falling and taking him with her.

It wasn't a long fall, less than a foot, but that didn't stop Sora from letting out a small scream out of shock. To her, it seemed like an endless fall, but really it wasn't. She landed with her back to the ground, wincing from the pain.

"Yeah I'm fine." Sora said quickly, shuddering a bit, "It just, " she winced, "hurts a little is all." she managed a small smile through the wince, sitting partially up.

"I'm fine." she repeated, patting Lecty and Nikki's heads. "I'm fine."

"I'm fine!" Sora protested, struggling to get out of his hold, "I can walk on my own, and I don't need to go to the nurse!" she pouted, sticking her tongue out childishly at Nexon.

"I'm fine!" she said again, folding her arms angrily. For Sora, independence was important, since she had grown up without friendship or guidance, she had learned to do everything on her own step by step. And she liked it that way, preferring to take care of herself and deciding when she was fine and when she wasn't.

"No!" Sora protested again, weaker this time. She felt her eyes drooping, "I can walk just fine, it's not like I'm a weakling!" Though really, she was. A 4'3, 60 pound 12 year old was rather weak, as much as she'd like to think otherwise.

Sora turned playfully away, folding her arms and pouting, "I got plenty of rest, I was up there for a while ya know," she said as a last resort attempt to sway her captor.

"There's a reason the Rensei Mountain is called difficult." Sora muttered under her breath, "there's no way we could be down already. And to answer your question, no, I don't enjoy being carried." she frowned, "I don't like being doted on."

Sora stuck out her tongue again, turning around to continue walking.

"See? I'm fine." she growled, taking careful, deliberate steps towards the edge of the plateau, "I got up here on my own, I can get down on my own."

"I may seem like a weak little girl-" (though really, she was,) "But I am independent, and I can handle a little weight." she said with a final tone, folding her arms. Though she soon turned to rubbing her freezing arms, trying to warm them up as the goosebumps started creeping along her limbs.

"Will we make it to the academy before it gets too dark?" Sora wondered, more to herself than Nexon. She shivered again, pulling her arms in closer. The breeze blew lightly, and she stumbled a bit, but caught herself before she could fall.

"I'm fine." she said to Nexon before he could say anything.
